At the Swarovski Foundation, we are deeply committed to supporting people worldwide without discrimination.
Our approach to aid intervention involves collaborating with trusted humanitarian organisations to understand the diverse needs of society with the aim of reducing inequality and promoting human rights.
We have observed the devastating reports of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel. There is a significant need for humanitarian assistance to protect the well-being of the most vulnerable, alleviate the suffering of people, and uphold human rights.
Since the escalation of violence across Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, over 12,000 people have tragically lost their lives, tens of thousands more are injured, and over 1.7 million people are displaced from their homes.*
We are supporting humanitarian aid in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, respective to their needs on the ground. Our commitment extends to staying informed about this humanitarian crisis, ensuring we remain responsive to evolving conditions and the requirements of the people.
We are supporting the British Red Cross emergency appeal to help those impacted by the humanitarian crisis. Staff and volunteers from the Palestine Red Crescent Society, Magen David Adom and the International Committee of the Red Cross have been working to respond to urgent needs in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel such as providing medical support, water, food, and relief kits.
As part of a neutral, impartial, and independent humanitarian Movement, Red Cross and Red Crescent staff and volunteers help anybody affected according to need, not location. This neutrality is key in situations like this. It helps them to build trust with communities and to gain access to people impacted.
